Mel Ott Baseball & Softball League
Established in the spring of 1958, Mel Ott Baseball & Softball League d in 1958 as Mel Ott Little League, the program has grown and evolved into today’s Mel Ott Baseball & Softball League has been a pillar of youth baseball and softball in Western New York for more than 65 years. Originally chartered through Little League for the majority of its history, the program has evolved into a modern, full-scale youth baseball and softball organization serving boys and girls ages 3–18.
Today, Mel Ott offers comprehensive in-house league play along with competitive travel baseball opportunities through its affiliation with the Panthers Travel Baseball Organization. From developmental programs for our youngest athletes to advanced competition for older players, Mel Ott provides a complete pathway for youth baseball and softball in our region.
Each year, the season begins in late April with the launch of Spring play. Throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons, the Mel Ott complex hosts league games, travel teams, regional competition, and some of Western New York’s largest youth tournaments. The facility remains one of the most active baseball and softball venues in the area.
